Element-It PowUpload 1.3 Examples

The following examples explains the use of the PowUpload control to upload files in ASP.NET C# applications. You are allowed to copy our samples to your applications. Do not forget to copy <sectionGroup name="Element-IT.PowUpload"> , <Element-IT.PowUpload> and <httpModules> sections of our web.config file to your web.config file and copy the Element-IT.PowUpload.dll file from the Bin\ folder to the Bin\ folder of your application. See manual for details about installation and configuration of PowUpload.
All examples tested in 0-10 years old releases of most popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla/FireFox, Opera, Netscape).

Examples list:

• Simple upload - Simple example of upload. Uploads 2 files and allows to type a comment to a form text field.
• Upload with progress bar and Cancel button - Example shows Progress bar in a new window and "Cancel upload" button. Includes samples of fully HTML form or ASP.NET Form (with runat="server" parameter)
• Dynamically add/remove/clear file fields - Example demonstrates dynamical adding, removing and clear file fields on client side without Page postback using Java Script code.
• Type validation on client side - Example how to check type of selected files using Java Script function before uploading them.
• Upload and extract ZIP files - Example demonstrates ZIP files type detection on client side and UnZIP operation on server side.
• Replace PowUpload with Request.Files - How to modify a code used for Request.Files (HttpFileCollection) with the one for PowUpload.
• Upload with AJAX Progress bar. - Example shows Progress bar on the same page without Page postback (AJAX). Sample also demonstrates access to Form values and shows uploaded files before whole request will be uploaded.
• Upload with AJAX progress bar using System.Web.UI.ICallbackEventHandler interface - Only for ASP.NET 2.0! The same as sample above but uses .NET AJAX System.Web.UI.ICallbackEventHandler interface.
• Upload with progress bar without JavaScript - Example shows Progress bar feature if Java Scripts disabled by user's browser.
• RuntimeSettings and bandwith control - Example demonstrates how to define PowUpload settings while runtime(Without Web.Config) or define individual settings for each request and using upload speed limit.
